From My Table to the Runway

When I started creating jewellery, I never imagined I would one day see my pieces walking down a runway.

Like most pieces I create, they begin quietly. A table scattered with beads, pearls and ideas. Hours spent moving things around, taking things apart, putting them back together, and trusting the process.

Two weeks ago, those same pieces found themselves in a completely different setting, the London Fashion Synergy Jewellery Runway Show.

What surprised me most wasn't seeing the jewellery on the runway, it was seeing what happened when different people wore it.

The same necklace looked completely different from one model to the next. The same piece carried a different energy, a different personality, and told a different story depending on who was wearing it.

As a designer, that's something you don't always get to experience when you're creating alone.

At my table I see a piece for what it is.

On the runway, I saw what it could be become.

Some pieces appeared stronger. Some felt softer. Some surprised me completely. And it reminded me that jewellery isn't finished when it's made.

It's finished when someone wears it.

That's the moment it takes on a life of it's own.

Behind the Scenes
Behind the Scenes

The Runway itself was a wonderful experience. There was excitement, creativity, nerves, organisation, last-minute preparations, and a lot of talented people working together behind the scenes to bring everything to life.

But the moment that stayed with me wasn't necessarily the runway walk. It was standing back and watching the collection become something bigger than the individual pieces I had created.

It was seeing confidence, personality and individuality bring them to life in ways I could never have predicted.

And perhaps that's what KK Soulcrafted Jewels has always been about.

Not creating pieces that tell my story.

Creating pieces that become part of yours.

This experience reminded me why I started, why I continue creating, and why I trust the process even when I don't always know where it will lead.

From my table to the runway and onwards to whatever comes next.

And I have a feeling there are still a few exciting chapters waiting to be written ...

With love,

Katerina
